Lucy Liu is our consultant in the field of education and psychology. She is in her Master program of psychological counseling for education in Columbia University. She realized that many students have trouble in life during their application. Thus, she shared some psychology tips in this episode in order for participants to better understand pressure and common mental challenges. Also, she provided some useful action plans for everyone to keep motivated under pressure and negative emotions.

Weiying Li is our consultant in the interdisciplinary field of psychology, education and tech. She is pursuing Ph.D degree in education technology in UC Berkeley. Weiying holds a Master degree in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor degree in Applied Psychology in Renmin University. She also has various research experiences in HCI and user research in international companies. In this workshop episode, she shared frontier topics at the crossing of education, psychology and technology. Also, Weiying shared some tips on how to find right cross-disciplinary direction and figure out better decision of academia or profession.

Xuanling在北大学习哲学时，意识到在国内从事哲学学术的生活并不适合自己。她希望能够从事直接改变人们生活、帮助他人的工作。她对美国法学院苏格拉底教学法感到很期待，认为美国的律师职业规范和培养体系更完善。因此，申请研究生时，Xuanling有明确的个人目标，准备转专业申请美国的法学院。本科毕业时，她获得了在西非国家多哥的联合国裁军事务厅实习机会。为了在入学法学院前积累更多职业经验，她选择了gap一年。第二年她入读Cornell Law School。今年，她成功转学，即将进入Yale Law School完成JD项目。

Chao is a Quantitative Developer/Analyst in a financial technology company in New York. He’s holding a Master degree in Financial Engineering from  BARUCH COLLEGE, CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK ; He also has bachelor degrees in both Material Chemistry and Economics from PEKING UNIVERSITY. In this workshop episode, Chao vividly introduced what financial engineering is about; he talked about top postgraduate MFE programs in the U.S and application requirements.

This episode, Seth reviewed all assignments he has received and proposed practical action plans for people to be productive.

In this Seth’s Talk, Seth Looper assigned pre-session tasks for participants and he realized that people are suffering from procrastination. Then based on his own experiences and knowledge, he proposed 10 practical tips for overcoming procrastination.

Jiawei高中时因在计算机竞赛中表现出色，保送进同济大学学习建筑学。本科期间，他还在复旦大学辅修金融。在各个领域的探索使他建立了多元的学术背景。他曾在传统建筑事务所实习，也在期货公司实习过。Jiawei在研究生阶段进入Harvard GSD MAUD项目深造。在读期间，他选修了非常多选了许多HBS，HKS，HLS，MIT SLOAN的课程。他也渐渐明确自己要往金融方向转变的规划，进入了投资银行实习。Jiawei的综合背景使他在GSD毕业后入职顶尖投资银行。

Kaixin本科来自同济建筑学专业。他曾在准备建筑研究生申请时在UNstudio全职实习，发现推进实际建筑项目和学习建筑学体验不同，因此考虑转专业。他gap半年，创办了NGO做公益，同时准备申请交互、产品设计方向的研究生。申请时，他收到了快手CSR产品岗的offer，决定入职。在快手工作一年后，他进入到字节跳动，目前在负责公益产品与运营团队。他对互联网行业现状、产品及交互有很多直接的观察和思考，并对中美行业差异有一定了解。

Shahab Albahar is a Ph.D. Candidate in urban planning and policy at the University of Virginia. His research critiques the heteronormative frameworks of urban planning. Using the case of Washington, DC, he explores the implications of urban interventions in the American capital in the production of ever-shifting conceptions of citizenship at the intersection of race, gender, sexuality, and space. Shahab holds a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard GSD and dual Bachelors of Architecture and Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design. Prior to returning to the U.S to commence his doctoral studies, Shahab taught courses in architectural design and theory at Kuwait University. He co-founded Parallel Studio, having completed several design projects in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. In tandem with his teaching career, Shahab led several workshops in 3D-software modeling as well as digital representation and has been Co-Managing Director of in-maginative since 2015.

Mian在准备研究生申请时，就关注到数字化建造等议题。研究生申请作品集讨论并使用了有关AR、VR等技术手段来呈现自己的设计。进入到Cornell Matter Design Computation项目就读的这一年让他更乐于尝试不同的技术手段。而通过在Urban Data Science领域的课程学习及研究经历，他进一步明确了自己对该方向继续探索的热情。目前他正在Cornell Environmental System Lab承担RA工作，并考虑完成学业后回国工作一段时间。

Shujing is from Durham University, majored in Criminology. She has got into UPenn Master of Science in Criminology this year under the guidance of in-maginative. Shujing has accumulated much practical experience in the field of criminology. And from her research and internship, she has built a cross-cultural understanding of criminological policy under different political systems. In this PinUp episode, Shujing shared her observations through learning and practicing in this area, and her experiences in graduate application.

Kaihong在本科后期，受到学院新派老师的影响，专注于对创新型材料在可持续设计上的应用，从而明确MDes Tech为申请目标。进入GSD前通过和学长学姐的交流，开始对科技公司以及互联网行业产生兴趣，计划在接下来的两年里扩宽视野，广泛涉猎。

Kaihong研究生第一年除了专业必修和计算机的基础知识外，还接触了立体交互和产品设计，选修了MIT Media Lab的Tangible Media组，Object-based Media组的相关课程；今年春季开始在MIT CSAIL（Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory）进一步地探索关于智能识别（multi-modal recognition）和数据可视化(data viz)的方向。暑期在哈佛的戴维斯俄国与欧亚研究中心做兼职的研究助理，主要参与对于历史地图的识别和空间数据的分析。

Fei是第一个进入GSD Mdes RR program大陆本科生。在研究生阶段，Fei主要研究数据/媒体/技术驱动的城市/建筑设计，他与此方向的多个顶尖实验室有过合作，包括MIT Media Lab City Science Group, MIT Senseable City Lab等，曾留校在哈佛当全职研究助理。他的“Retail Sensing”项目在Harvard Innovation Lab举办的世界最为著名的创业大赛“President's Innovation Challenge”中进入半决赛，并将在第一年结束后作为合伙人发展孵化的公司。

Yifan majored in Architecture in HIT. But more than half of her undergraduate study was in exchange programs or for internships. She has gained various experiences in the field of art, culture and history. With the guidance from Seth, Yifan was able to connect her experiences and find the right direction for her graduate study. And she got the offer letters from top programs including GSD MDes CC. In this PinUp episode, she shared how those experiences have contributed to her decision.

Qianqian学姐毕业于从同济大学建筑系本科。在19Fall的申请中，她收到MIT SMarchS urbanism和Yale MArch2的录取，最终选择MIT SMarchS这个偏重学术研究的项目深造。经过一年学习，她坚定了自己做学术的热情和生涯规划，目前考虑申请Ph.D项目，并为之准备。

Zhou Wu学长毕业于重庆大学建筑学本科。在19Fall的申请中，斩获哥大MSAUD等项目等录取。哥大的培养体系和地理位置也使他在读期间接触到咨询、政府项目甚至社会学与本专业的交叉。他目前考虑积累一些实践经验后，继续深造，攻读博士学位。

Lisa Lee is our graduate filming application mentor. She is now pursuing the MFA degree in USC School of
Cinematic Arts. In this Workshop Webinar, she systematically introduced her observation on USC SCA education modes, her study experience and common career development for SCA graduates. Through this case of USC, she also wanted to inform clients clues to understand education system and style of each school, in order to make better application strategy.

本期AlumniTalk我们邀请即将从Columbia University Real Estate Development项目毕业的Hongkai Jiang。Hongkai学长毕业于同济大学建筑学专业，在本科期间曾在万科地产市场部、SOM等公司实习，通过学习和实践明确了自己想要从建筑转地产的职业发展规划。在研究生申请中，学长瞄准了顶尖高校的地产项目。最终在in-maginative的指导下，Hongkai选择赴哥大地产专业攻读硕士学位。

Shuhan graduated from UIowa and got offer letters from several top programs including GSD MAUD. With the help from Seth, she was able to conduct independent studies on UD and learnt to organize information and build her mode of researching and designing.
